Hard work and the inevitability of unhappy customers...

I don't want to get too much into this cake because looking at it makes me feel a lot of emotions. Sad emotions...

To make a long story short, the customer LOVED it at first, then hated it, and made it known that they hated it. I'm not saying I'm the best cake decorator ever - especially to compared to many industry professionals - but, it's not the worst. But, I will let it be known that I followed everything they wanted to a "T". SO I guess it's not me...? 

I'm posting this because it took a lot of time and effort to make this cake and I still think it looks kinda, stupidly adorable. But, who am I to judge, really? Plus I already photographed the cake(s) before I even knew the customers reaction, so why the heck not? I did, however, receive word from a guest (and regular client) who attended the birthday party that everyone actually quite enjoyed the cake(s), so I don't know what else to say, really. I cannot please everybody, younahmean?

Anywho~here it is in all it's rejected glory. Eesh.
